Bob Ross is best known for his PBS instructional series and his wondrous hair. However, it is said that he was a drill sergeant in the United States Air Force and later decided he never wanted to yell at another person ever again. Having become mellow and cool, Bob Ross spoke in a dulcet, calming tone.
Many of his famous quotes are based on artistic lessons. Yet being instructions in oil painting, these quotes go deeper than the initially thought. Just as he layered paints in the wet-on-wet style in oil painting, these words are layered in truths with which we all can relate.
Be it said that St Bob Ross knew what he was doing.
I’d like to post some quotes from St Bob and my thoughts on them as a lama in the Order of Artism.
